/v2/blueprints/{blueprint_id}/
Stable

Request

Deletes a Blueprint by its ID.

Permanently removes the specified Blueprint V2 (the current Blueprints API) instance; returns a 204 on success or a 404 if the blueprint isn't found.

About Blueprints

Blueprints define the configuration state (apps, settings, files, Wi-Fi networks, etc.) that Esper applies to devices or groups. This is the current Blueprints API (V2) — distinct from the deprecated Blueprint V1 endpoints, which point back to this API as their replacement.

Key Fields / Query Parameters

  • blueprint_id — UUID of the blueprint to delete, passed in the path

Common Use Cases

  • Removing an obsolete or unused blueprint configuration
  • Cleaning up blueprints after consolidating device policies

Best Practices

  • Confirm no active device groups still reference the blueprint before deleting it, since deletion is permanent
