Request

Returns VPP (Volume Purchase Program) license details for a single app, identified by its VPP app ID. Use it to check license status and counts for one specific iOS app rather than pulling the full license list.

Returns a single VPPLicense object for the given appId.

About VPP License Management

VPP lets organizations purchase iOS/iPadOS/tvOS app licenses in bulk through Apple; Esper syncs license data using the tenant's VPP token so license counts stay current without manual entry.

Key Fields / Query Parameters

  • appId — the app's VPP identifier (path parameter, numeric), not Esper's internal app UUID

  • Checking whether an iOS app still has available VPP license seats before assigning it to more devices
